Abesadze Irine

Ph.D, Born in 1949. In 1966, she graduated from Tbilisi 55th secondary school and in 1972, from Tbilisi State University, Faculty of History, Department of Art History and Theory. She is a doctor of Art History (1982), doctor of Historical Sciences (1999), and emeritus of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University. She is the author of 150 scientific papers; 8 of them are monograph research. She is a board member of the Georgian Artists Union and is awarded the order of merit.

Akobidze Nana

Writer, Publicist, The Ph.D candidate at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. From 2003 up to today: publisher and editor-in-chief of the annual publicistic edition “Sakhe(l)ebi”; 2018 up to today: publisher and editor-in-chief of The New York Times’ licensed international mediaprojects: Turning Points and The Big Ideas. She is the author of up to 100 magazines or newspaper publications. Cernat Sandra Răsvana

Theatre, opera and television director Sandra Răsvana Cernat graduated from UNATC’s Theatre Directing Department in 2004. She started her career as assistant director of Liviu Ciulei and Alexandru Darie. She also worked with Andrei Șerban as an assistant director on performances at “Bulandra” Theatre and the “Bastille” Opera in Paris. From 2006 to 2011 she worked as opera director for the National Opera and Ballet Theatre “Oleg Danovski” in Constanța. During the same period, she collaborated with the State Theatre of Constanța. She started teaching in 2007, at Ovidius University Constanța. Since 2011 she has worked as an artistic director and producer at TVR. She is currently Lecturer in the Department of Theatre Directing at UNATC.

Chichinadze Nina

Graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts. She is currently professor of Ilia State University, Tbilisi. She is and author and co-author of several books and an author of more than 40 papers. Her research interests cover wide range of issues on medieval Georgian and Byzantine visual arts.

Chkhartishvili Lasha

Doctor of Arts, theatre critic and blogger, Associate Professor of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University, Head at the Modern Georgian Theatre Research Centre in Tbilisi, Georgia, Vice president of International union of theatre critics. He works in Caucasus University as a teacher of Contemporary theatre and criticism, He is the author of 10 books and 450 reviews. He was awarded The best teacher of year in History of Arts (Georgian Ministry of Education), 2004; The most successful teacher of Arts History (Georgian pupils and youths’ palace award), 2004; The best student-theatre study of year (Student’s Films and Performances international festival “debut”), 2004; The best author of a theatre review of the year (The Union of Georgian Theatre), 2005; The best author of the theatre review of the year (The Union of Adjara Theatre), 2011; The best author of a theatre review of the year (The Union of Georgian Theatre), 2012. Chkheidze Tamar

Musicologist, PhD in Art studies, Associated Professor, Head of the Church Music Department at V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire (TSC). She teaches the musical theoretical disciplines (Harmony, form analizing) and different study courses of Georgian traditional music. Her scientific interests are connected with the research of Medieval Georgian professional music (ecclesiastical chant) problems (form, texture and harmony, musical writing, interrelation of liturgical and musical aspects). She had published over 40 scientific works, articles for musical encyclopedia and musical-liturgical dictionaries; Is coautor of the “The dictionary of chanting terms”, two textbooks. She participates in national and international symposiums, conferences. Her research was supported by DAAD (2014), Georgian President’s Scholarship (2000-2003). She is involved in different scientific and interinstitutional projects. She is a member of the Creative Union of Georgian Composers and musicologist; 2005-2012 deputy head, since 2013 Head of the Quality Assurance department at TSC.

Damchidze Khatuna

Choreologist, Doctor of Arts, Researcher of the Dimitri Janelidze Scientific Research Institute of the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theater and Film of Georgia.
The dissertation was defended on the topic “Dance dialects of Western Georgia (Adjara, Laz-Shavshuri, Megrelian, Abkhazian, Rachuli) and the main ethno-choreological aspects of their relationship” (2019). For years led a course in Georgian folk choreography and history of ballet. Is a university lecturer in the history of ballet. Scientific interests: History of Georgian and world choreography (folk, classical, ballroom, “modern”).

Dolidze Irma

PhD in History of Art, the Head of the Museums and Museum-Reserves Department of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia; the author and co-author of a number of programs and concepts in the Museum studies. The author of the ‘’Museum, History, Artifact’’ series (5 volumes published in 2015-2020). The ‘’Pirosmani Today’’ project leader and the contributor-editor of the ‘’Pirosmani Today’’ collection; Irma Dolidze graduated from the department of art history of the Tbilisi I. Javakhishvili State University. Her doctoral thesis was: ‘’The Theatrical Architecture in Georgia from the Ancient Times up until 1921’’. Dolidze Rusudan

Rusudan Dolidze – an art critic and PhD student. In 2002 she graduated from Iv. Javakhishvili State University, Faculty of History, majoring in Art History Theory (Bachelor). In 2005 she received her Master’s degree. 2001 – Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the same University, majoring in English Language. In 2017-2020 she worked at the Public School N21 in Tbilisi as an art teacher (status of senior teacher). Since 2020 she has been a PhD student at the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theater and Film.

Dolidze Zviad

Film historian, Doctor in Art Criticism (Film Studies), Doctor in Historical Sciences, full professor of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, dean of Art Sciences, Media and Management Faculty.
His professional works are the six books (textbooks and monographs), research projects and co-authorship in collections about world and Georgian cinema. He was a participant of the sci- entist projects, international and local conferences, a jury member of several international film festivals, an author of more than forty articles published in Georgia and abroad. He is a member of the Georgian Film Academy, executive director of Association “Cinerama”, founder and director of the Abasha (Georgia) International Children and Youth Film Festival.

Dzamukashvili Lali

Associate Professor of I. Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Lali received her higher journalistic education in Journalism at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and M. Lomonosov Moscow State University; She has received the academic degree of Doctor of Educational Sciences. He did his post-doctorate at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. She has published about 20 scientific articles; Lali is the co-author of the monographs – «Journalism» (Georgian-French project, 2013 and 2016 editions) and is a laureate of the Sergey Meskhi Award.

Fehrmann Antje

Was awarded her PhD degree by the universities of Marburg and Warwick with a prize winning dissertation on English royal tombs and chantry chapels from 1066–1509. Teaching at Freie Universität Berlin and Halle, her current project focuses on architectural competitions in church architecture (19^th c.). She is an reviewer of H art hist, The Burlington Magazine, Church Monuments, The BAA journal.

Gengiuri Nato

PhD in Art History, Professor of the Department of Art History at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film, Georgian State University. Founder and organizer of the International Conference of Art Researchers. She graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a degree in Art History. She defended her dissertation on the topic of Georgian medieval church architecture. Her research interests mostly focus on the history of architecture. She is the author of a monograph, textbooks, and of over 50 scientific publications. She has been a speaker at numerous local and international conferences. DAAD scholar in LMU of Munich, Goethe University of Frankfurt/Main, Humboldt University of Berlin. The annual Scientific Conference for Arts History researchers was founded in 2008 on behalf of her initiative. She is also the founder and the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Arts and Media Researches (until 2021 “Arts of the 20th Century”).

Gvinjilia Gvantsa

Musicologist, PhD in Art Studies, Associate Professor of Music History Department at Tbilisi State Conservatoire, member of the Georgian Composers’ Union. She leads the following courses: Music Criticism, History of the World and Georgian Music. She was the holder of the scholarships of Z. Paliashvili and the President of Georgia; She is author of 50 scientific works, regularly participates in national and international scientific conferences.

Kenigsberg Ekaterina

An art historian, a curator of exhibitions and international exhibition projects in Belarus and abroad, an artist. The Head of the International Relations Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, Associative Professor. The author of over 300 publications on contemporary Belarusian and international fine art in Belarus and abroad.

Kharatishvili Marina

Theatre Critic. Khatiashvili Teo

Film Critic, PhD in Art – In 1990 graduated from Tbilisi State University, specialty of History and Theory of Art. Associate professor of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Cinema University in 1998-2014 and Ilia State University in 2014 – 2019. Since 2019 is full professor of Ilia State University. Has working experience in various media. Interested in Gender Studies in Cinema.

Khutsishvili Ivane

Graduated from Tbilisi Ekvtime Takaishvili University of Culture and Arts in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting for Theatre and Cinema. In 2011 he received a Master’s Degree in Drama Directing at Georgia State University of Theatre and Film and has been studying at PhD level at the same University. He is also a successful alumni of Temur Chkheidze Workshop of the Modern Theatre Art Development Centre. He has been working at the Georgia State University of Theatre and Film as teaching assistant for Acting and Directing concentrations (in 2007-2016); held academic position of Assistant Professor (2016-2017).
Ivane Khutsishvili has been working at Ilia State University since 2016 as a supervisor of Drama Directing Concentration. He is currently an Associate Professor in Drama Directing and is supervising the Theatre Arts Program in general.
Ivane Khutsishvili has been a stage director at the Liberty Theatre, Tbilisi since 2012. He staged Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” as his Master’s project at the same theatre.
His performances received many professional awards: Best Directing 2015 for “No Time for Shakespeare”; Best Performance 2014 and Best Directing 2014 for “Macbeth”; Best Performance 2011-2013 for “Kennel”. He participated in various international theatre festivals. Renaissance) (2011).

Kiknadze Maia

Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor, researcher of Georgian theater. Since 1991 she has been a lecturer at the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University of Georgia. She has worked at shota Rustaveli academic theater at different times as the Deputy Head of the Literary Department, she was invited as a lecturer at the Ivane Javakhishvili University in Tbilisi as well as Ekvtime Takaishvili University.

Successfully graduated from the Study of Arts faculty at Shota Rustaveli Theater and Cinema State University in 1989. Defended her doctoral thesis about “Theatric esthetics of director Shota Gatserelia” (2003). Works at Scientific Research Institute after Dimitri Janelidze as a principal researcher. Lecturing since 2008 for the students of different specializations in the following disciplines: “Play reconstruction”, “Theatric metaphor”, “Teachin theater and its plays”. Has published more than 150 publications scientific works. Ana Kvinikadze holds the degree of bachelor of humanities in Arts Studies; Theatre Studies (Ilia State University, 2016). She completed a Master’s Degree in Arts Criticism (Contemporary Europian Theatre Researcher) at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, in 2018. In 2019 she became a Ph.D. student of Art Studies at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. Ana is working as a General Manager at the Iron Theatre, from 2016 up to the present day. From 2019 to the present day she is head of the International Relations department at Konstantine Gamsakhurdia Sokhumi State Drama Theatre. PhD, is a Full Professor in the Institute of Art Studies – BAS. She was a long-term lecturer in the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts and in the New Bulgarian University. Prof. PhD Andronika Màrtonova is a Deputy Director of Institute of Art Studies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, staff researcher at Screen Art Dep. She is a film critic and university`s educator in Asian cinema. Author of two monographs and numerous publications on the field of Asian and Bulgarian film cultures. Guest-lecturer at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts and at Sofia University.

Megrelidze Gubaz

Theater critic, Doctor of Science of Art. Graduated (1979) from the Faculty of Theater Studies Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University. Winner of awards of N. Nikoladze, I. Chavchavadze, S. Meskhi. Honored Journalist of Georgia. Author: scientific research in the field of theater history, author of many theatrical reviews, publicist letters, publications, interviews (over 1000), TV and radio programs, often participates in scientific conferences. In 2007-2010 he was a leading scientific worker of Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University. Participated in the preparation of projects for the “Georgian theater encyclopedias”.
G. Megrelidze is one of the first scientists who got acquainted with the affairs of a worker of repressed art protected in the KGB archives and devoted many publications to the consecration of such tragic phenomena. His research changed the history of the 20-30s of Rustaveli Theater, sanctified the ongoing conflict and the reasons for the illegal reprisals of groups of actors, which were incorrectly assessed for half a century.

Mirianashvili Ana

Ana Mirianashvili in 2005 year graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University Art history bachelor degree, in 2010 she graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University master quality in program of Contemporary European Theatre. Now she is a doctorate in Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University with a program World Theatre, Epochs, Phases, Aspects. At the moment she works on the dissertation “The role of TYA in XX-XXI centuries, repertoire problems.

Osefashvili Lali

Art criticist, Assistant-Professor of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University, Doctor of Arts. Her subject courses are for three study level: History of costume, World Art History, Georgian Art History etc.

Papinashvili Sopio

Master of Art Sciences, PhD Student of Art Studies at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. Sopio Papinashvili in 2012 year graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University Art history bachelor degree, but in 2014 she graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili state University master quality in program of New and Contemporary Art. Now she is a doctorate in Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University with a program New and contemporary Georgian Art. Now she work on the dissertation “Nu” in Georgia sculpture and its socio-cultural surroundings”. She often participates in different scientific conferences, some of them are international conferences and simpoziums. Her articles are published in collected works.

Razmadze Giorgi

Film critic. Editor of magazine KINO. He is a lecturer of film history at the Shota Rustaveli Theather and Film State University. He also studies the theory of cinema. Giorgi Razmadze is author and co-author of several books.

Samsonadze Anano

Doctor of Art Sciences, Associate Professor at Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University, Choreographer – Choreologist. She graduated from the Tbilisi State University of Culture – Faculty of Choreology, from the Tbilisi State University – Faculty of Philology and from the Public University of Choreography – Faculty of Georgian Folk Dance. In 2006 she defended the thesis “The main directions of choreographic art study” (Fundamentals of Choreology). She is Associate Professor and Head of the Quality Assurance Office of Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University. She has published about twenty scientific publications and speaker at more than thirty scientific conferences. She is author and scientific director of Master and Doctoral Programs in Choreology and scientific supervisor of three defended theses. She is choreographer of 52 performances in various theaters and founder and director of the Student Choreographic Forum-Festival “Terpsichore”.

Tea Skhiereli has been a lecturer, teaching classes of Communication with the Media and Writing for the Media at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs since 2015; Editor-in-Chief of Voyager by Solo and Georgian Airways in-flight magazines; In different years she worked as a communications consultant for the UNFPA Georgian Representatives, was a special correspondent, editor, producer at the Georgian Television and Radio Corporation. Is a member of IFJ – International Federation of Journalists.

Theatre Critic. PhD in Art Study (Theatre Study) , The Professor at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. From 2017 till now Director of Dimitri Janelidze Scientific-Research Institute of Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University He is the author of up to 100 magazine or newspaper publications. Among them are scientific works, reviews on performances, theoretical articles on the ongoing processes in contemporary Georgian theater, the letters on the creativity of individual dramatists, directors or actors. Țuțui Marian

Marian Țuțui is a leading film researcher in the field of Balkan film studies. Since 2017 he is a full professor of film studies at Hyperion University in Bucharest and since 2014 he is a researcher at ‘George Oprescu’ Institute of Art History of the Romanian Academy. Between 1996- 2013 he has been curator of the Romanian Film Archive. He is author of three books on cinema written in Romanian and English: “Manakia Brothers or the Image of the Balkans” (2005), “A Short History of Romanian Cinema” (2005, 2018 in Beijing in Chinese) and “Orient Express.
